Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Provides Older Adult Resource Group and Service Guide!
The Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the creation of the Senior Resource Group and Senior Resource Guide,now available on their website at https://westbloomfieldchamber.com/senior-resources/ and in hard copy at area businesses and township offices. This will enable the senior community and their adult children to connect with the resources necessary to improve the quality of their life.
“The creation of the group and accompanying guide came about as a result of an urgent need for a comprehensive list of services available for our older adult population and their families,” said Suzanne Levine, Executive Director of the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce. “I commend SRG Chamber members for heeding the call to action on behalf of the senior community.”
In addition to producing the guide, SRG members will work with the West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Department and other organizations to promote the wide variety of programs and classes offered for older adults. The group will also publish a quarterly newsletter that will be distributed throughout the community. In addition, free speakers on topics of interest to the older adults and their families are available through the SRG.
The Senior Resource Group is a comprised of approximately 40 of organizations and companies who are members of the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce dedicated to providing information and services to assist older adults and their families.
The Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business for the greater West Bloomfield area, including Sylvan Lake, Keego Harbor and Orchard Lake. The Chamber is a diverse network of businesses and organizations throughout southeastern Michigan and is dedicated to “bringing business and the community together”.
