Our next deserving  nominees!

Let’s give a BIG shout out and applause to:

Anne Stevens!

I am the Director of the Food and Nutrition program in the West Bloomfield School District.  As a dietitian, I began the first half of my career in healthcare, serving in both clinical dietetics and food service management rolls.  After taking time off to raise a family, I returned to food service in a new genera; K-12 Food Service.   I have been in K-12 food service for almost 15 years and have enjoyed the excitement of new experiences every year.  Eight years ago, K-12 food service underwent a complete overhaul, making nutrition the number one priority.  Having a strong nutrition background, this was a task I was more than ready to tackle, and I have been running ever since.

What an honor to be recognized as an unsung hero.  This recognition belongs not only to myself, but also to my great team who has worked tirelessly as we maneuver through the fluidity of COVID-19.  Without missing a beat, we created and implemented a whole new food service model to provide meals to students in a non-congregate setting.  Each week brings a new change in processes and the West Bloomfield Nutrition Services staff has made every turn with extreme precision.
