Our next deserving  nominees!

Let’s give a BIG shout out and applause to:

Thank you very much for honoring me as an Unsung Hero. It is truly a privilege to be recognized for volunteer service and contribution to our beloved community.  Friends often ask why and how I volunteer so much.  The answer is simple.  I receive tremendous support, encouragement and inspiration from my husband, Ken, and many compassionate friends!  I am deeply grateful to serve with teams of caring community-minded volunteers.

Thirty-seven years ago, driving past Civic Center Plaza, where the land was not yet developed, I saw an opportunity to contribute to a growing community. As a Member of the League of Women Voters, I learned about local public policy in both Bloomfield Hills Schools and the Township and am grateful to voters for electing me to two-terms as a School Board Member and three-terms as a Township Trustee.  Currently I am serving as a 21-year member of the Greater West Bloomfield Cable Communications Commission.

It was a real treat to serve as a co-founder and first President of the Greater West Bloomfield Community Coalition and be actively engaged in United We Walk since its inception.  Serving our region, I am part of Red Cross and United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

My greatest passion is serving for 37 years on the Michigan Week Committee, designer of our community’s signature volunteer recognition experience.  It is a labor of love to volunteer with the Amazing Michigan Week Team year-round to help shine a bright light on those who volunteer in ways big and small in service to our community and the organizations within Greater West Bloomfield.

Thank you for your service as leaders in the business community!  Thank you more for the great value you bring to the entire community.
