What a fabulous night of celebration, fun and networking at the 7th annual Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce awards dinner.
Roop Raj, FOX 2 morning anchor and news reporter rocked Shenandoah as the master of ceremonies. Mark Tapper, Ryan LaFontaine, Rami Ubaydi, Ken McClure and Andrew Jacob were honored for their contributions to the community. Over 100 dignitaries Chamber members, family, friends and community attended to celebrate the achievements of these great honorees.
Chamber President, Kelly Taylor, welcomed the crowd with a rousing speech about supporting our community. Karen Fischer (C & G News) and Teri Weingarden (WB treasurer) were a tremendous help at the registration desk. Spotted having a great time were Carla Schwartz (Beaumont Health System), Shane Pliska (Planterra) and friends checking out what Shane won and new Chamber member and business owner Ash Naik of Leaf & Berry having the best time at the Orchard Mall table. Pam Dover (Comcast), Steve Tapper (Tapper’s) and Cecilia Fydorski (Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital) trying to select best mystery bags. Tracy Rojas (Heartland ) barely had time to sit with her co-workers as she was very busy selling mystery bags. Joel Jacob ( The Bottle Crew) positively beaming as his son Andrew received the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Tim Farris and Rick Anthony, awards dinner committee members, helped the valet put gift packages from Savorfull and LaFontaine in every car.
Also present to congratulate the winners were Representatives Klint Kesto and Mike McCready, West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Michelle Economu Ureste, as well as, township representatives Cathy Shaughnessy, Teri Weingarden, Board of Education President Randi Sakwa and West Bloomfield Schools Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hill.
There isn’t enough space to write about all the other wonderful people that helped make the evening a huge success…but there is always next time…
